The Algerian novelist and poet Rachid Boudjedra was awarded of the Algerian Prize, Priz des Librairies 2007, in the Palais des Expositions.The novelist said that he has been awarded worldwide, but it is the first time that his work was awarded in Algeria.
The Algerian Bookshops Association has chosen the Novelist Rachid Boudjedra to be 2007 Prize-winner for his distinguished, outspoken, versatile and controversial books dedicated to the Algerian society.
